O Dearest Blessed Mother © GodAloneSufficeth.com, 2012

Hello everyone! As you all know, I am trying to carry on the tradition of the Saturday devotion to the Blessed Mother, by posting a prayer or some other reflection in her honor. Yes, I’ll admit I have not been very consistent lately – I pray that’s what Divine Mercy is for.

The Blessed Mother has been benevolent to us and continues to shower grace upon us daily, we are deeply indebted to her maternal protection. We are Our Lady’s children, Jesus Christ gave us to her at the foot of the Cross. He told – nay charged us –  to “Behold Our Mother (19:27).”  Please join me in honoring our Dearest Mother on this beautiful day and carrying on the Saturday tradition.

A Hymn of Thanksgiving!

Thank you O Dear Mother, thank you for your “Yes,” your “Fiat” to God’s plan. Thank you for the loving care you gave to the Child Jesus. Thank you for us that same loving care. Thank you for the courage you displayed at Calvary and the joy you displayed at the Resurrection.

Thank you for all the ways in which you show yourself to be our mother. Thank you for all the times that you pick us up and admonish us when we fall. Thank you for all the times you protect and guide us when we must pass through rough ways. Thank you for sharing with us in times of joy and empathizing us in our sorrow.

O Mother Highly Blest, help us to love you more and more.

O Mother Highly Blest, help us to become like you more and more.

O Mother Highly Blessed, bring us safely to your Son.

Thank you for being our Mother!

Thank you for joining me in prayer and don’t forget to offer little acts of love to our Blessed Mother on her special day.
