Hello everyone! Today is Saturday, the day of the week dedicated to the Blessed Mother. It is also First Saturday. Would you please join me in honoring our Mother using this prayer which I penned?
O Queen of Heaven, Hasten the Advent of your Son.
O Queen of Heaven, Hasten the Advent of your Son and help us, your children, to worthily prepare ourselves to receive Him. Assist us in our desire to live our lives in a pleasing manner of His Holy Majesty and, when He wills that “to dust we return,” grant that the Angel of Peace may safely carry us to His abode – the New and Eternal Jerusalem,
This Advent Season, O Queen and Mother:
Cleanse us of the leprosy of sin, which rots our spiritual life and robs us of the necessary grace to attain Eternal Bliss.
Heal us of the bruises of sin – both those which we have afflicted our selves and those which others have heaped upon us. Bind up the wounds of your suffering children.
Satisfy burning hunger with which your children long for your Son. Just as He came to us on Christmas, He also comes to us in Holy Communion. Prepare us to worthily receive Him.
Do also grant unto us the hastening of your Son and His Eternal Glorious Kingdom.
Let us Pray,
O Lord, who from the Cross taught us to “Behold Our Mother,’ be pleased to accept the petition which we now ask through her powerful intercession. Grant unto us – through her unblemished hands and coupled with the prayers of the poor souls in Purgatory – that soon “Your Kingdom may come and your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.”
We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Thank you for praying with me on this First Saturday, and remember to offer little acts of love to Our Mother on this her special day.
