About Me
Hello. My name is Ken. I have been discerning the Call for quite a long time, since I was knee-high and my Grandpa took me to Holy Hill. I am particularly discerning a vocation as a Discalced Carmelite Friar. I hope this blog offers some assistance to you in discerning your own vocation. Please visit this blog often and journey with me as we all discover the call that God has given to each us.
My Motto
"With zeal have I been zealous for the Lord God of Hosts" - The Carmelite MottoPrayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel
“Mary, Beauty of Carmel, just as in the Upper Room, you watched over the origins of the Church, so now the Church’s journey is entrusted in a special way to the loving hearts of cloistered nuns. With great confidence in the power of your heavenly intercession, we ask you to watch over and bless all Carmelite Nuns and, in particular, the community that worships Our Lord, Jesus Christ in Denmark, Wisconsin.
Obtain for these Nuns a daily increase of the virtues of faith, hope, and love that will empower them, in prayer, to obtain every blessing from Our Lord Heavenly Father’s hands for the good of souls. May their lives of hidden prayer strengthen the Diocese of Green Bay and the entire Church. Through the grace of Christ, draw many young women to enter the Monastery of the Holy Name of Jesus. Holy Mother share with the Nuns of Denmark your love of Jesus’ Priesthood. May the Monastery make visible on earth the Heavenly Kingdom which is our life, our sweetness, and our hope. Amen.”

Prayer For New Carmelite Vocations
“Lord Jesus Christ, You promised that if we agree to pray for anything in Your Name, You will do it for us. Through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel we ask You for the grace of good vocations. Give us young men and women of faith who are zealous to become Your strong friends and to faithfully serve as friars and nuns in the Discalced Carmelite Order. As You have done in the past, awaken hearts to fervently desire You and to carry on the charism of Carmel – to glorify the Triune God in the company of Your Mother and to be the love at the Heart of Your Church. Amen.”

“Gracious God,
We thank You for the gift of Carmel.
We ask you to continue to call forth men and women of fearless hearts to the Order of Carmel. May they be like the prophet Elijah, full of zealous love for You.
May Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, be our model that they might say “Yes” to Your invitation to serve You and Your Church.
Inspire them to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, prayerfully working to build Your kingdom of justice and peace.
Faithful God, give them that grace and courage to discern and respond generously to Your call.”

“O Father Moses, who in return for thy burning faith and love of God, was Divinely rewarded with the leadership of Israel and care of God’s eternal law, obtain for us a lively faith, a bold courage and a steadfast commitment to preserve God’s ancient Commandments in our hearts and in our land. Grant, that through our humble efforts, God’s Ten Commandments may be more widely known, more deeply understood and more faithfully followed. Amen.” - Project MosesSearch This Site
